The order of study of Shakespeare's plays is not carved in stone.

Most people prefer the lighter comedies, such as A Midsummer Night's Dream, and stay clear of the tragedies, altogether.

On the other hand, serious students of Shakespeare and college English professors usually advise that Hamlet be read first, and then followed by Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and Lear. After that, it's usually a toss-up, with Antony and Cleopatra, Richard III, Othello and Julius Caesar neck-and-neck.

As for the comedies, All's Well that Ends Well and As You Like It are probably more popular than A Winter's Tale.

I have started with Hamlet, and will complete all the parts of the site concerning that play, while beginning with Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet at the same time.
